The James Taylor Room in Clifford House is available for special events. It is a beautiful venue, with air conditioning, arched French windows, and a mammoth chandelier evocative of another time period.

Gip’s specialises in hosting your event with style and elegance. Our restaurant is perfect for smaller groups (30) to larger groups (120) and the James Taylor Room can seat up to 120.

This package is ideal for birthday celebrations, family reunions, company social events, just to name a few.
Your guests can enjoy the beauty of the restaurant in the gardens of Clifford House, or the grandeur of the James Taylor Room inside one of Toowoomba’s finest old homesteads.
This package includes:
- Room hire
- Selection of house-made canapes, entrée and main – all created by the very talented Craig Edser and his team of chefs.
- Your guests can sip French bubbles or enjoy a beer under the majestic trees before being seated and enjoying a two-course meal and wines served to the tables.

If outdoors is not for you, then the casual yet sophisticated garden courtyard (heated when required) with clear sides raised or lowered to your liking, might be your preferred spot.

The tables are set with crisp, white linen cloths and napkins and fine white china.
A beautiful selection of sweet and savoury items, cleverly crafted by our team of talented chefs and served on tiered china stands. Freshly brewed tea and coffee served to your table.
